Amazon warehouse coming to Tracy

I saw on the news last night that Tracy is getting a huge Amazon warehouse which will provide over 1,000 jobs. Mayor Brent Ives of Tracy was interviewed and said that lots of new projects are in the works.   The new warehouse will be located by the Crate and Barrel warehouse. Exciting news!

Good question. Very confusing the way this is written.

Edit: I just found another article which makes it clear that this is in addition to the Patterson project.

I've read some stuff about these new Amazon centers and they're very high-tech, using robotics for automation.  I think this is a nice thing to land for Tracy and the whole area.

Mayor Brent Ives said they have a couple of other projects under top-secret names such as Delta in the works. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens in the next two to three years. He said the city of Tracy had to do a lot of work such as rezoning to get this project.

Any building in Tracy is very welcome.  Automation is heavily present in some of the building around Tracy already....such as the Home Depot warehouse.  Really cool technology.

News said that about a 1000 new jobs,projected to be completed by next holiday shopping season.
