Relay For Life of Mountain House - Event Date: August-18-2012 - August-19-2012

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to remind everyone that we will be having our Relay For Life Event this Saturday August 18th-19thand 10 am-10 am. It will be held at Bethany Elementary school near the basketball and handball courts. We will have the sliding gate open, for easy access to our event. Please come join us. Relay For Life is more than just a fundraising event, it is a day to remember, celebrate and fight back. All tbe money raised at Relay For Life goes directly to the ACS. This is the very first Relay held at Mountain House. Our event is small this year, but we are hoping it will continue to grow and every year, we will be able to do more. Please come out and support a great cause. It seems every family has been touched by cancer in one way or another. Please show your support. We only have a few teams, but we are going to have some great activities. I will update times of activities like cookie stacking and root beer floats, later this week. Our opening ceremonies will start at 10am Saturday, Luminaria will be at 9pm.

Here's a list of some of what were having

Several raffles most starting at only $1 some of the items being raffled off

- Balls autographed by Vida Blue
- Scentsy Basket
- Avon Basket
- Pamper yourself basket
- basket filled with great things like handmade jewelry, blanket, a stay at a hotel in Virginia City and more.
- e-reader powered by android
- Zumba basket

There will be some other items raffled off as well.

Oreo cookie stacking contest

Root Beer Floats $2

Hot dogs & Chips $1.50 hot dog 50¢ chips

A few carnival style games

Bake sale

Water balloon tosses

Face painting

Glow in the dark ninja

Zumba from 7 pm-8pm

And whatever else we can come up with :)

Sounds like a great event.  My family and I will definately be there.  Thank you for organizing this.

Thank You Carolyn, we are really looking forward to it and hopefully build some momentum for next year. Can't wait for Zumba!

I can't wait to see the quilt David. I will definitely be entering that raffle. I am feeling lucky. Won 2 raffles at Lathrops Relay last weekend. What a great event they put on. I hope by the time were in our 4th year, we have that many participants.

This is so amazing...first time I'm hearing of it! I can't come this year, but would love to help you all with it next year!

It's a game my daughter and friends play, I'm not sure how to explain it. You will just have to come out and play. We will be selling glow in the dark bracelets for. 50 and will also have finger lights for sale.
