Hi, Folks!

Here are the Bark For Your Park stats for July 15th.

Number of Votes
Mountain House: 819
Derby, VT: 332

Increase in Percentage of Votes per Capita
Mountain House: 8.47%
Derby, VT: 7.18%

We ended the day 23.12% ahead of Derby--an increase of 1.28% from July 14th.

Another great day of voting, and we were able to increase our lead! Let's keep the momentum going throughout the week. We can win this!

Looks like the vote tracker is down for the count. The computer I used for it died, and was the only copy of the software I had. Sorry!

Edith is doing a great job on the stats.

Currently, Oak Forest is at 244.45%.  We are at 322.34%.  Derby is still behind us at 301.58% (this is per capita).

Here are our stats as of 3 pm today:

Number of Votes
Mountain House: 296
Derby, VT: 213

Increase in Percentage of Votes per Capita
Mountain House: 3.06%
Derby, VT: 4.61%

Derby is currently cutting into our lead. We are now 21.57% ahead of Derby. Our vote count is fairly low so far, but that's kind of to be expected since most people are at work. Hopefully, the numbers will start shooting up this evening and we can increase our lead over Derby.

As to Oak Forest, since they're in second place overall right now, we don't have to worry about them. The 1st and 2nd place cities are obviously excluded from the running for the Bark From Your Heart prize. So the next contender for the BFYH prize is Lynchburg, but their percentage of votes per capita is only 83.70%, so they don't really pose a threat. It'll be interesting to see if Lynchburg will be able to pull ahead of Oak Forest on Friday, or if Oak Forest will manage to hold onto 2nd place.

Here are our stats as of 6 pm today:

Number of Votes
Mountain House: 478
Derby, VT: 322

Increase in Percentage of Votes per Capita
Mountain House: 4.94%
Derby, VT: 6.97%

Derby is continuing to cut into our lead. We are now 21.09% ahead of Derby. We need to turn this around by the end of the night, so all you folks who are just getting home from a hard day's work, please VOTE! And remind your friends and family to vote too!

Hi, Folks!

Here are the Bark For Your Park stats for July 16th.

Number of Votes
Mountain House: 666
Derby, VT: 366

Increase in Percentage of Votes per Capita
Mountain House: 6.88%
Derby, VT: 7.92%

We ended the day 22.08% ahead of Derby--a decrease of 1.04% from July 15th.

Well, Derby managed to lessen our lead a little bit today. Not a trend we want to see continue throughout the week. Let's stay committed and continue to vote and tell others about the contest.

We're lagging behind Derby so far today. Here are the current stats:

Number of Votes
Mountain House: 213
Derby, VT: 288

Increase in Percentage of Votes per Capita
Mountain House: 2.20%
Derby, VT: 6.23%

Derby has cut our lead down to 18.05%. We really need to get the voting up today.

Here are the stats at 6 pm.

Number of Votes
Mountain House: 537
Derby, VT: 372

Increase in Percentage of Votes per Capita
Mountain House: 5.55%
Derby, VT: 8.05%

Our lead went up a little bit since earlier this afternoon. We're now 19.58% ahead of Derby. We've got a lot of voting to do tonight. Unless our percentage increase for the day ends up higher than theirs, they will have chipped away at our lead yet again. If they get no more votes today, which is unlikely, at present we need 242 votes just to catch up. It's worth mentioning that Derby's total vote count has been increasing daily since this past Saturday.
Please keep voting!

Not interested in reading this whole topic, but has a piece of land been officially dedicated for this project?

DANR49:
If you go to our page you can see our Land Specs and Letters of Support that describe the area, approval. The length of time is currently a year to year basis, but the Dog Club and CSD have both expressed commitments to extend that as needed. This is for an interim park until the permanent park is built (probably 10 years away). The parks and rec plan was amended in the last couple of years to include a dog park at the Water Quality basin or Old River Park in the future.

Hi, Folks!

Here are the Bark For Your Park stats for July 17th.

Number of Votes
Mountain House: 850
Derby, VT: 409

Increase in Percentage of Votes per Capita
Mountain House: 8.79%
Derby, VT: 8.85%

We ended the day 22.02% ahead of Derby--a decrease of .06% from July 16th.

Wow, we had a lot of votes today! It's the most we've had so far, not counting the bonus vote Fridays. Way to go, Mountain House! Yet, Derby had a strong day too and still managed to take a tiny nibble from our lead. Let's try to increase our lead tomorrow. We can do it!

Thanks to everyone who's been voting and getting the word out!
