Independence Day Parade & Picnic information

Please fill out the form and return to me either by email or snail mail.

Forms:

Chili Cook Off form has been updated and I think I got everything. Again this is our first year and I have never done this and want it to be a fun event for the community. Please email me if I missed anything and thank you to everyone for the suggestions.

For the people who want a booth at the park here is the vendor agreement form. Please send those along with your check for $20.00 either to me or to the CSD. You are responsible for your own table, Canopy, and other items needed for your booth. If you need electrical please let me know so that we can make sure it is set up for you. I need these turned in to me by the 30th. Also if you can send and email to angel@realestatedepot.biz so that I know we received your application.

Just received another entry for the Chili Cook Off. Need a couple more to make this an actual race. :) Also looking for volunteers to set up barricades and to judge the chili. Let me know if you are interested.

I made a mistake on the fees for the Vendor's it is $20.00 for any vendor booth. No matter if you are 501c or not. I am very sorry I misunderstood the rules. If you haven't sent in your check please do so. Also I need to know if you need power so that we can set you up accordingly.

Updated info

MHVillages.com and Mountain House Community Services District are excited to have you join us for the 7th annual Mountain House Independence Day Parade and Celebration.

Please join us for the parade and picnic on Wednesday, July 4th at 10:00 am. The parade route is along Central Parkway beginning at Arnaudo Boulevard, will travel south along Central Parkway, turn around at Heritage, and travel north on Central Parkway, ending at Main Street. The parade will run for about an hour. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and set up on either side of Central Parkway between Arnaudo and Heritage.

The morning of the parade, Central Parkway will be closed to through traffic. Should you need to get to Bethany, Altamont or Questa from Wicklund, please use Mascot and Great Valley. Heritage, Legacy, Arnaudo and Main will be barricaded at Central Parkway. You will not be able to drive through.

Immediately after the parade, join us in Central Park for our picnic. Some of this year’s activities will include the following:
•     MH Pie Contest, by the Mountain House Mothers’ Club .

Please remember that Central will be closed beginning tomorrow morning from 7 am until noon. If you need to get around you will need to access Mascot, Great Valley and DeAnza. Do not move the barricades. They are put there for a reason. There will be lots of little kids walking around on Central and I don't want anyone getting hurt. Thank you for your understanding and if you are close enough to Central leave your car at home and walk. See everyone tomorrow.

What as great event! Thanks everyone for coming to the parade and enjoying the after-party. Angel spent a lot of time and energy for months, putting this together and IMO, deserves a standing ovation

I, on the other hand made a poor decision to enter Spanky's atomic chili dog challenge. That chili was pure evil! I ended up in the emergency room, taking both of us away from the celebration shortly after it started. I'm home now and have learned a valuable lesson.

I want to thank everyone for the support, and those who stepped up for Angel to ensure that the event ran smoothly in her absence.

I will remove the Independence Day link tomorrow when I'm feeling better.

It was a fantastic event, thank you both. We didn't mind pitching in at all.

Jeff, glad you are home and on the mend. Kev's been having me check in a night to check on you.

Look forward to seeing you both soon.

Glad to know you're ok, Jeff. I met someone in the hotdog line who told me he entered that contest, but walked away after one taste. The hotdogs were great, btw.
Sorry, couldn't resist
Be well

I used to be envious of small towns like Dublin who have cool events like this.. but that was an awesome parade and the event after in the park was even better. Thanks Angel we all really had a great time thanks to your hard work.

Best 4th of July parade and picnic in Mtn House I've ever been to! The kid's loved that water slide, and we loved the hot dog vender's hot dogs! That relish and fixings he used made those hot dogs really good! All the events and venders were well received.
Thanks Angel & Jeff & everyone who pitched in to make this event special!

(Hope you feel better Jeff)!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Angel, Jeff, and all others that made this 4th of July event happen.  The parade and after-party were wonderful!  This is our first year in Mt. House and are looking forward to next year's event.  I know you all put alot of time and energy into this and want you to know that it's involved, caring individuals like you that help make this a great community! We appreciate YOU!

For the record, it was mostly Angel, with a group of other volunteers and CSD employees who made it happen. I was responsible for the beer brewing demonstration and driving our float, but that's pretty-much it. She did the lion's share of the planning & coordination. I just live here.
