Actually you don't have to pay now, they took out the little green pay box by the entrance.

I fish there several times. I used to launch my boat there. I caught catfish, striper, and bluegill there. You pay 5 for entrance and 5 for parking. I never caught a good size striper there only shaker.

Have you considered the Bethany reservoir?

That was one of the places I had in mind. We went biking there last week and it is nice. (Though the looming profile of the newly erected power plant is a bit disheartening.) Because the inflatable boat seems to fit somewhere in between "boat" and "personal flotation device" I can never quite tell if it would be considered one or the other, where it would be allowed, and what kinds of regulations would or would not apply. I was also wondering what might happen if we put the boat in at Mossdale County Park. It looks like it might be a pleasant float toward Mountain House from there, but I wouldn't want to try it without knowing what it was like.

Fishing is allowed. A permit is (technically) required.
I've fished there once, but did not catch anything.
I have read fishing reports that say the fishing there is decent, though.

I would agree with Bethany but make sure that it's not windy the water up there gets so choppy when windy

My daughter used to go up there all the time to paddle-around in boats like this.

Every time my daughter sees this packed up in the garage she asks if we can take it out. Is there any place around here we could? What are the "rules of the road" for such a thing? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
