Hi all,
I'm trying to reach out to homeschoolers in Mtn House to see whether anyone is interested in a MH Homeschool Park Day. I, as well as a
couple other homeschooling moms I know here in MH, would love to have
our children have more homeschooling friends in our local community.
If you are interested in participating, please send me a PM and I'll get you in on the discussion.
Also, please spread the word to any MH homeschool families you know.

We're switching parks to Central now that the weather is warmer.. I've had a couple people ask whether this park day is for older kids/high schoolers, and yes! it is! This first week, the kids were all 8 and younger, but I'd love to see all ages there.

I have recently moved to Mountain House. I am homeschooling my 2 children. John is 10 and Breana is 7. I was wondering if you meet at the park every Friday? We would love to come! Thank you!

Hi there,
Yes, we are meeting every Friday! We'll be back at Central this week at 11 am. I will be there with my Brianna 8, as well as my other two - Elea, 5 and Juliette 1. We have had a great turnout so far - 8 families or so.. Hope to see you there!

I have had a number of inquiries from parents of teens/tweens asking if there were others in that age group :) I am hoping some start coming so that I can say "yes!" when people ask me!

We are going to be at the park on Friday. I have a 10 year old son, and a 7 year old daughter. I am also bringing my friend who has a boy and a girl, both 8 years old. I can't wait to meet you.

Okay I just remembered we're going to a Living History day in Sacramento on Friday. So we won't be able to make it this Friday. I'll try for next, would love to get all ages of homeschoolers together :) . Jennifer, I use to know another Jennifer Short in Tracy (I think it may be you) our boys attended Sunday school together and you had a big birthday party for your son at a place called Go Bananas I believe? If this is not the same Jennifer I look forward to meeting you. If it is the same, will be nice to see you again. Shaunna

If you're interested in field trips this might be a great addition to your social network Tracy Homeschoolers on meetup.com might be a great group for you. Several of us Mountain House homeschoolers have been recently active in that group. We love the local Mountain House homeschoolers park days in addition to the field trip opportunities through Tracy Homeschoolers. One of the ES's from Connecting Waters runs the meetup group. There might not seem to be many older homeschooling families around us, but believe me, they're out there! All ages in fact! Hope this is encouraging to anyone reading.

I said I'd be here this Friday, but this Friday is the big homeschool swap meet in Modesto. So we'll be there trying to get rid of some old curriculums & books & seeing what kind of deals we can find. But I looked at my calendar & NEXT Friday is empty LOL

I just saw your reply on here. I am the same Jennifer Short. Sorry we have not been at the park days. Everyone got sick and then life happened.... Maybe next week we will be able to make it. Especially since it is in the morning. I hope to see you then.

Nice to hear from you. We still haven't made out to the park yet either. I was just looking at our calendar & it's looking like the first Friday in August will be our first chance. CRAZY! Sometimes life just happens, & it is certainly happening now.
